and want to help them out however you can. If they start asking you to put up
links that really aren't related to your blog, however, you have to learn how

page. If you're presented with a link that you don't think relates, ask them if
they have something that's more relevant to the topic you're talking about.
It's Not a Redirect
Some links actually redirect you to a different site than
you think you're going to. These are very bad things to have on your blog.
Essentially, it's like telling someone you're giving them a ride to the airport
and dropping them off at a convenience store. It's deceptive, inconvenient for
the user and, sometimes, it provides a vector for viruses and other malicious
software.
Remember to be careful with the links that you put up on
your site. Check the site that they lead to thoroughly. Make sure that you're
comfortable with the content that is posted and that it is of a high quality. Make
certain that there isn't anything on the site that would be offensive to your
readers or that would introduce some sort of competition for you businesswise.
